Museum in the Park Stroud
Once you step foot in Stratford Park, you may well be delighted by the scenery, but the main showstopper is the Museum in the Park.
Discover historical monuments and informative displays on various subjects, including modern art and a beautiful walled garden on the outskirts of Stroud, Gloucestershire.
The museum’s collections consist of around 57,000 objects, of which 4,000 are on display at the Museum in the Park. Most items are strongly connected with the Stroud District and help you to imagine life there in the past.
The collections are not ordered in any direction; they range from dinosaur bones to the patent drawings for the world’s first lawnmower — as well as several early examples of actual mowers. The collections represent all aspects of human and geological life in the Stroud District, making them of interest to everyone.
